Are vegan cheeses good for you?

A common question I hear a lot is: Are vegan cheeses healthy?

The answer to that question really depends on each individual cheese that you are using (a case by case basis). Some vegan cheeses are processed more than other making them less nutritious

Less processed vegan cheeses generally speaking mean they are more nutritious and are healthier alternatives to animal based cheese, however below are things to keep in mind when you are choosing your vegan cheese

One fact is for certain is that plant based cheeses will always be healthier than their animal cheese counterparts. We all know the mainstream advertising that animal produced cheese is rich in calcium which is healthy for bone growth and repair, however you have unhealthy levels of salt, saturated fats and processing chemicals that affect your overall health and wellbeing in negative ways

Things To Keep In Mind:

Always Read The Ingredient Label

If you are unsure, have a look at the ingredient, workout what a healthy recommended intake of the cheese is in one day, then have the recommended amount

Choose Less Processed Vegan Cheeses

Highly processed vegan cheeses are often less nutritious, aim to pick as close as natural as you can get when choosing your vegan cheeses in your local shop next time
